Redskins vs. 49ers: The Great, The Good, and the Not-So-good

The Great
- Graham Gano: not counting blocked kicks, Gano has made 12 consecutive field goals, including a 59 yarder (Redskins record) and two from 50 yards

The Good
- Orakpo and Kerrigan each had a sack
- Roy Helu had 14 receptions (new Redskins record), although catching 14 short passes just isn't that exciting somehow, and Helu also lost a fumble
- The offensive line: not that they were truly "good", but they were not horrible, which is an improvement over last week; really helps to have Montgomery back at his natural position of Center
- Rookie talent Leonard Hankerson had 4 receptions, and an important 2pt conversion

The Not-So-Good
- Beck is allergic to open receivers more than 10 yard down the field; it's not that his throws are inaccurate, he just doesn't throw to them
- Brandon Banks is hurting this team; his decisions and fumbles cause many Redskins drives to start deep in their own territory
- Lots of dropped passes, when Beck needs all the help he can get

  1. The Skins need to lose the rest of their games and then trade up to get Andrew Luck. They could have had Dalton this year but were too stupid to do that. (CIN 6-2 under his leadership).

  2. some speculation that the Colts will draft Luck and trade Manning to the Redskins! http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/the-league/post/peyton-manning-to-start-at-qb-for-redskins-in-2012/2010/12/20/gIQAX3CVmM_blog.html

  3. Been there done that with washed up QBs (McNabb). Need to get the first pick or trade up to get it. Should've got Dalton this year for bargain 2nd round price, but too stupid to do that with Shenannigans running the show.
