Redskins vs. Giants: 3rd Quarter Live Blog

Live bloggin it for the 3rd quarter...

1) London Fletcher is still the man. To open the quarter, he has an swesome tackle of Bradshaw on the Giants' first drive of the half ... looked like Bradshaw was about to break it, instead just a 4-yard gain. To close the quarter, a sack [edit: was actually credited with half a sack, shared with Neild].

2) Got to feel good for Kerrigan, great play ... tipped the ball, intercepted the ball, scored the TD.

3) Graham Gano's having fun launching the ball out of the endzone on kickoffs.

4) And another rookie making a play! Chris Neild with his first NFL sack.

5) That had to be one of the worst blocks on a punt return I've ever seen .. Rob Jackson not only gets flagged for a block in the back but blocks the guy right into his own return man and his return man's lead blocker.

6) Ugly throw down the field by Grossman to Moss. Protection was there, Moss had separation, Grossman was just way off.

7) Anthony Armstrong has another ball knocked out of his hands.

8) Again no push up the middle by Cofield and Manning completes a 42-yard pass.

9) Giants fail on 4th and 1, camera catches Coughlin shouting a nice expletive. Big stop by the Skins D.

10) Giants challenge, think Gaffney stepped out, but looks to me like he stayed in on the replay. (Gaffney was ruled to have stayed in before the pass, but to have stepped out before completing the catch).

11) Grossman answers the reversed-call with two great passes and two first-down completions.

12) Two consecutive sacks, the second looked like it was supposed to be a screen play. Could have gone up two scores with a field-goal, instead the Skins lose 23-yards on two plays and punt.
